Greetings! I hope Day 2 was as good or better for you as it was for me. I’m feeling more and more excited with each passing day. How did you do? Did you do your daily 5? Remember, we’re practicing make believe each day by completing five items daily. See Day 1 or Day 2 for the five items. Yesterday we discussed playing to win and we talked about how we become what we think about. And, added another daily habit of fertilizing our seed by investing a minimum of 15 minutes daily to read positive/uplifting material or listening to positive/uplifting material. Did you make time to fertilize your seeds on Day 2? If not, then definitely do your daily 5 and fertilize your seed today.
Today’s topic is gratitude. Gratitude creates abundance. I think of gratitude as the water for our seeds because it is essential to practice gratitude to manifest our desires. Why practice gratitude? The benefits are enormous and include but are not limited to the following:
- because it feels so good
- changes your focus from wanting to having
- creates the vibration of being in your outcome
- lifts your mood by creating inner peace and harmony
- interrupts old habitual negative thinking patterns
- helps you to focus on the infinitely many gifts we already possess
- promotes well being and increases feelings of happiness and appreciation
- fuels the Law of Attraction and helps us to manifest much quicker
If you haven’t read The Magic by Rhonda Byrne, I highly recommend it. The Magic will guide you through 28 days of practicing gratitude. One of the best things I liked from The Magic was creating a daily list of ten things you are grateful for. Rhonda Byrne encourages her readers to try to identify ten different things each day. She recommends using the formula “I am truly blessed to have _________ because ______.” for the first nine things on your list and for the tenth one you would use “With all my heart, thank you for _______ because ________.” Then you’re instructed to read each one aloud by addressing each thank you preferably to a higher power, followed by each item on your list, and then say thank you, thank you, thank you after each one.
I plan to incorporate this into my daily habits during the 40 day challenge and invite you to do the same. It is a powerful practice to add to your daily life. Practicing gratitude increases our feelings of love and appreciation. And, according to Ester Hicks, these emotions are the most powerful conduits for raising our vibrations to activate the Law of Attraction on our behalf to bring more of the good things we desire into our lives. When acknowledge and express our appreciation for nature, people, health, our senses and life in general we can help but feel good.
Additionally, being grateful helps us to accentuate the positives and eliminate the negatives. In every circumstance in life, if we train ourselves to look for the positive aspects in life experiences it helps to propel us closer and closer to our deepest desires and keeps us feeling good. We begin to radiate energy that makes us an irresistible magnet attracting more and more things to make us feel even more gratitude.
