What Is Worth Committing To?

107

We’re officially 15 days into the last quarter of this year.  If any of you are like me, then you set some goals at the beginning of the year.  Have you been tracking your progress towards them?

How many of your goals have you completed?  If so, time to set some new goals.  If not, it’s time to buckle down and get to it and make the most of the 107 days we have left in this year.

When you think about the 107 days left before the end of this year, including today, what is worth committing to?  What’s the one thing that will count as completion of the ultimate goal?

Let’s propel ourselves to our greatness and make the most of what little we have left in 2017!  How will we do that?  By doing the following today:

Decide what you want to accomplish

Take about 15 minutes today and pick one goal that’s your ultimate goal to achieve by year-end.  Write this goal in a notebook dedicated to this one purpose.

On page 1 write in big letters “I see myself __________ by December 31, 2017”.  Use vibrant colors and make it a festive, engaging, colorful page full of energy.

Determine the small steps that will lead you to your ultimate goal

What are the small steps that will get you there?  Is it something that you will need to execute daily or weekly?  On page 2, record your daily and/or weekly small steps.

Then write “I will reserve _____ of time each day to do the following:” and list your daily steps.

Next write “I will reserve ______ of time each week to do the following:” and list your weekly small steps.  If you want go above and beyond include the time of day too.

Develop yourself in the areas required to reach your goal

Do you need additional knowledge and/or skills to reach your goal?  Do you need to self-study to obtain them? Do you need a mentor?  Do you need a coach?  Do you require a class?  It could be something as simple as having an accountability partner.  Who can you partner with to help keep you on track?

Write on page 3, “I will develop myself in the following area(s) to reach my goal:”.  Then list resources and/or individuals required to help you accomplish this.

Define a timeline for the interim milestones

How will you know that you’re on track?  What will need to happen by the end of this month?  The end of  October?  The end of November?  Mid December?

Write on page 4, “I see by myself _________ by ___________” for your interim goals.  Again make them festive, engaging, and colorful

Devote all your focus to your goal

Organize all of your energy around your goal?  How? Inundate yourself with your goal.  The remainder pages in your journal will be used for daily interaction.

Each day you will record what actions you took towards your goal.  And yes there is something you can do every day even if it’s as simple as rewriting your goal statement recorded on page 1.  Or listening to a motivational video to keep yourself pumped and ready to take action.

Next list what you really did well.  And how you can improve the next day.  Then write positive what if statements for all the possibilities your ultimate goal can manifest itself into your life.

Master Your MOJO!

Master your MOJO and defend your territory.  It’s time to get motivated and get MOVING!  What is MOJO you may ask?

MOJO – a quality that attracts people to you and makes you successful and full of energy.

It’s time to master your MOJO when you need the confidence to achieve your goals.  Life can sometimes rock us to our core and leave us feeling as if we’re victims, helpless, and unable to transform our circumstances into the ones we desire.

Nothing like looking for a job, experiencing a failed relationship, battling with obesity, receiving failing grades, facing rejection, or just encountering setback after setback to feel like we have NOJO – No Options Just Obstacles.

Are you firmly balanced or do you need to gain a more solid footing?  Are you mastering your MOJO or nursing your NOJO? Are you feeling down, discouraged, or disappointed? Then it’s time to master your MOJO and become highly adaptive and relentless in achieving your goals in life.

Here are 5 surefire ways to master your MOJO:

  1. PICTURE WHAT’S POSSIBLE – focus your undivided attention on all the positive possibilities. Imagine all the many different ways how it can work out positively for you.
  2. SWEETEN YOUR STRENGTHS – love what you do well and do it more often.  This helps us to like ourselves and when we like ourselves ….others like us too and want to help us reach our goals.
  3. TAKE TITANIC ACTION – take massive action towards your goals.  Action builds confidence and courage.  Keep taking action until all doubt and fears are dissipated and you like what you do.
  4. CIRCUMVENT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES – give no thought or energy to current circumstances.  Affirm, affirm, affirm that you can be happy and thrive in any environment. Remember the you are bigger than your circumstances.
  5. TRAIN YOUR BRAIN – Junk in – Junk Out.  Train your brain the procedures necessary to reach your goals and the perspectives necessary to like how you are achieving them.  Magical things happen when preparation meets opportunity.  Train your brain and be prepared.

Your MOJO is a tremendous ALLY.

The Power of Small Changes

Greetings!  Happy Monday!  Happy first day of May!

New month….new challenge.

We all have areas in our lives where we’re stuck and no matter what just can’t seem to get moving in the direction of our goals.  Well that’s where this month challenge comes in.  It’s time to make small changes because small changes can make a BIG difference.

We have to change something because old ways won’t open new doors.  Don’t get too far out of head of yourself and start worrying how will you get there or doubting if you can keep it going once you get started.  Just take the first step and get started.

I saw this quote and it resonated with me and sums up the essence of this month’s challenge…..“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life.  Tip toe if you must.  But take the first step.”

My five small changes are in the area of healing my body.  Thus, my small changes are drinking 3 liters of water daily, taking my supplements daily, exercising daily (walk 4 miles 4 times a week and do strength training 4 times a week), no fast food, no corn syrup/severely limit sugar intake.

I encourage you to make your list today and post it somewhere where you can see and go for it and implement your five small changes for the month of May.  Can hardly wait to hear your feedback and how your small changes made a BIG difference in your lives.

Cheers! ♥♥♥

If I Could Just Stop Falling Asleep at the Wheel

I don’t know about you but I just keep falling asleep at the wheel of life.  I have dreams that require massive actions yet for some reason I just can’t seem to keep them a consistent priority until I achieve my goal.  I have fallen victim of the microwave generation syndrome.  My patience has been crippled.  And my vision blurred.

I’m sure there are others out there just like me who either start things but don’t finish them or just plain and simple don’t get started or settle for less than they deserve or only go for the things they believe they can get.  What’s that saying?  If you always do what you always done, then you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.

Today I have made the decision to get out of my own way and go for the things I want and stop settling for the things in life I think I can have.  Which by the way is usually dictated and/or shaped by the world’s measuring stick.  No more of that for me.  From now on it will be driven by my internal desires and staying the course until it comes to past.

I will believe in myself  and keep believing in myself until I make it happen for me.  And I know beyond the shadow of the doubt the more I believe in myself….others will too.  It all starts with me and what I’m willing to do different in order to have something different.  I am choosing to choose for me and I am choosing to stay awake at the wheel. 😉

Cheers! ❤ ❤ ❤

Emit Your Own Frequency

In life we can allow what’s outside us to dictate and govern our thoughts aka be reactive. Or we can allow what’s inside of us to dictate and govern our thoughts aka be creative.
Far too often we are in a reactive state instead of a creative state. Whenever we allow external things to cause us to entertain negative thoughts, we put into action a poisonous chemical activity of a disintegrating nature, that dumbfounds our sensibilities and deadens our nerve actions, causing the mind and body to become negative and therefore subject to many ills.
On the flip side when we are in a positive state we put into action a healthy chemical activity of a constructive nature, causing the mind and body to become free from  many ills due to discordant thoughts.
The nature of our thoughts impact the frequency we emit and thus determines the kind of conditions and experiences with which we will meet; what we put into life is what we get out of life – no more, no less.
Either way whether we choose to live from a reactive stance or creative stance, we still are emitting mental frequencies that are as real as electric, magnetic, or heat currents according to Charles F. Haanel. And I wholeheartedly concur with him that we attract the currents/frequencies with which we are in harmony.
I don’t know about you but I choose to emit my own frequency and live from a state that is creative and intentionally draw to me the things, situations, people, and/or circumstances that I desire.  Join me in my next post when I will share a six step plan on how to emit your own frequency and raise your dominant vibration.
Cheers!

Drifting Is Not Navigation

pixteller-design-575a48f21c6c9527

Want to guess how many full 24 hour days we have starting tomorrow, November 22, 2016?  Yep, you guessed right!  Forty full 24 hour days.  How will you spend them?  Will you aimlessly drift through them into the new year?  Or will you be intentional and navigate your way into the new year?

I choose to navigate into the new year.  I find this to be a perfect opportunity to invest my time in cultivating new seed habits for 2017.  Take baby steps if you need to do so.  If it’s true that it takes 21 days to develop a new habit.  I wonder what 40 days of intentionally practicing a new habit will yield for us?

I plan to go all out and have intense focus on developing three new habits that will support my top three goals for 2017.  My granddaddy used to say “If you don’t know where you’re going any road will take you there.”

What if it were just as simple as “It is my dominant intention to  drink 1/2 my body weight in water for the next 40 days to support my weight loss goals.”   Or, “It is my dominant intention to walk at least one mile a day for the next 40 days to support my weight loss goals”.  Or, “It is my dominant intentions to consume 3 fruits and 3 veggies each day without fail for the next 40 days to support my well-being goals”.

In sales?  What about “It is my dominant intention to make 5 income generating calls over the next 40 days.”  Career goals? “It is my dominant intention to study in my field 30 minutes each day to increase my knowledge in my career.”  Purchase a new home?  “It is my dominant intention to invest time looking a new houses, playing the money game, and visualizing being in my new home”. <= this one is regardless of if your bank account says you’re ready or not.  Same thing for any other purchase like buying a new car, furniture, etc.

Ready to meet the love of your life?  Or want to take your current relationship to the next level….What about “It is my dominant intention to set the table for two each day over the next 40 days in anticipation of marrying my highest mate.”  or “It is my dominant intention to turn the other side of my bed down over the next 40 days in anticipation of marrying my highest mate.” or “It is my dominant intention to keep an extra set of towels and change them out over the next 40 days as if I already am married to my highest mate.”

Whatever it is…your new habit doesn’t have to be a huge leap of faith or monumental.  Just something that keeps you focused on taking some type of action each and every day for the next forty days.  This is all prep work to build momentum so that you can get your mind to believe that you can have what you want and to take continual action towards your top three goals.

I think you get the picture.  Just get moving and get 100% focused on what it is that you want.  And don’t make the mistake of figuring out how it will happen.  Just keep your focus 100% on your intended end and take a baby step action each day that reinforces that you believe it will happen for you.

I want to hear from you….what’s in your navigational kit?  How will you use the next 40 days to sail your boat towards your intended destination?  Better yet what ideas do you have to share with others?  What baby steps do you recommend for a particular goal?  I’m excited and am looking forward to the next 40 days….Are you?

I Choose to Challenge My Limits

dont-limit-your-challenges-challenge-your-limits-1

WOW!  It is so hard to believe we are in the home stretch quarter of 2016.  Remember all those new year’s resolutions and/or goals?  How have you performed?  I pulled my list out and I’m not quite where I want to be as far as achieving my 2016 goals.  Therefore, I’m going to push beyond the limits and take things into overdrive this last quarter of 2016.  December 31, 2016 will not come and go without me reaching my top five goals I set for myself.

I choose to challenge my limits this last quarter of the year in a way that I never have before.  Jean-Jacques Rousseau proclaimed “The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless.”  Sages of all times have chimed in and agreed that we are only limited by our minds and that our imagination is limitless.

I don’t know about you but I’m ready to create “THE” life for me with all the things in it that I deeply desire.  I’ve been really observing myself for the last couple of months and others and I noticed that we have so many limits we erect in so many areas of our lives that we’re really unaware of how many we have and how we allow them to control us and our lives.

Additionally, I noticed that there are a lot of unwritten rules that if we’re not careful will limit us in unthinkable ways.  Where am I going with all this?  I’m saying all this to say challenge the limits in your life.  Examine your life and see where you have erected limits either consciously or unconsciously and then start to challenge them.

How can you challenge them? By asking questions, questions, questions!  For instance, let’s say you are in sales and you’ve unconsciously decided that it’s going to be challenging for you to either earn the money you want each month and/or the current promotion in your company.  Then instead of making declarations, start asking questions.

Such as how can I earn xyz by the end of the month?  Or how can I earn this year’s promotions?  How can I increase my knowledge base?  In what ways can I increase my efforts?  Who would love my products?  Why should people join my sales team? Where can I set up informational tables?  What knowledge do I need to increase my profitability?  How do I need to change my day to day habits/actions to support my goals?

When you ask questions instead of making declarations you give your subconscious mind a chance to help you solve your challenges/problems.  Thus helping you to not only challenge your limits but to surpass them.  Don’t believe me?  Try it.  First write down at least 5 things you want to achieve by December 31, 2016.

And then invest 15 minutes daily with pen and paper and start asking yourself as many Who, Why, How, Where, When, What questions as you possibly can to find solutions to reach a goal that either seemed out of reach or challenging to achieve.

Remember, you need to actively spend 15 minutes each day with your goal(s) asking questions and then writing the answers as they come to you.  Join me and choose to challenge your limits and build the life you’ve always dreamt of!  Will you choose to challenge your limits?
